Today started out like many of my past Fridays this summer, an early cup of coffee at Thump downtown and some good conversation with my friend Bryon from Byron Roe Photography. We ran into some friends, well more so Byron than myself, but that’s not a surprise. After about an hour and a half of shooting the breeze, it was time to take off and take shoot some pictures.
Byron had to jet to edit some weddings he recently shot, so I was solo today. After shooting the cyclo-cross race last night and working late to get those pictures up, I was having trouble getting motivated so I ventured over a friends office downtown. I hadn’t seen Jeff for a couple weeks, so we caught up for a bit and then he asked if I’d like to help him shoot a web-mercial he was doing at the local Porsche dealer for a big special event they are having in a couple weeks. HMMMM, let me think, go shoot Porsche’s or wander around downtown today…it was a no-brainer, I was going to go shoot the cars.
After I got there, I found out we were going to be shooting footage of the owner of the car dealership and the GM of the Porsche dealership, both nice guys, whom I was happy to meet. After we got done shooting the video footage, I decided I was going to stick around and shoot some stills, even though I hadn’t brought any of my lighting equipment besides my speedlite (on camera flash)–but hey I was there so why not get some pics of one of my favorite cars, and as you can see they have quite a few of them stored there at Club Carrera. During my time there I also met the club manager a super nice woman who said I could come back another time to take more pictures if I’d like, I was “….aaaaa, YES PLEASE!”
Hope you enjoy the pics. -t-
