 I have been interested in photography on and off for more than 25
years, beginning in junior high school when my parents lent me my first
camera. I have always enjoyed being able to capture a moment in time
for people to relive or share with others. Throughout my life, I have
made it a point to work in creative environments so I could keep my eye
sharp and creative juices flowing. I have merged this creativity with a
passion for technology to generate beautiful pictures that capture
moments that are true to life.
I value working with natural light when possible, as it affords the
truest, most natural results. Most of my portrait work is done outside
of a studio environment, which creates a range of backdrops that allows
everyone to feel more comfortable during a session, and provides for a
more unique end-product. However, with the weather in Central Oregon
being what it is, I also have the capacity to shoot inside a studio or
other indoor location.
In this age of technology it is almost as important for a photographer
to be as comfortable in front of the computer as behind the camera. I
have a firm understanding of the tools and enjoy spending time doing
digital enhancements to photos I have taken. This familiarity
with technology, coupled with my enjoyment of capturing memorable
moments, form the cornerstone for the photos I create, whether it is
portraits, sporting events or anything else.
The diversity of my interests means I am not confined to one style or discipline, which allows me to offer a variety of photographic services . It also means I can bring an expanded set of tools and fresh approaches to capturing important moments.
